The Senior School for students in Years 10 - 12, offers personalised academic pathways, strong pastoral care and leadership opportunities that prepare students for life beyond school.
The senior years of learning at Kimberley College are focused on preparing our students to contribute to society post-school as responsible and caring adults who realise they can make a difference through positive action.
Preparing young people for life beyond the classroom
The Senior School is a time of significant growth, discovery and decision making. In Years 10 to 12, students are supported to become confident, capable young people, known as individuals, challenged in their learning, and encouraged to see more in themselves as they prepare for life beyond school.
Our Senior School experience is characterised by high academic expectations, personalised support, strong pastoral care and a broad range of learning opportunities that recognise each student’s strengths, interests and aspirations.
A purposeful learning journey
From Year 7 through to Year 12, students are guided along a structured and coherent learning pathway. Middle years focus on strong foundations in literacy and numeracy and critical thinking, while the senior year provide increasing choice, responsibility and academic rigour.
Students are supported to:

- set goals and take ownership of their learning
- think critically and ethically in a complex world
Our teaching staff are specialists in their fields and are deeply committed to understanding how each student learns best.

Personalised care and wellbeing
We understand that wellbeing underpins success. The Senior School’s pastoral care structure provides consistent support through a dedicated team of Heads of Year, mentor teachers, counsellors and support staff.
Our pastoral care approach:
- prioritises strong teacher - student relationships
- supports mental health, resilience and balance
- encourages respectful relationships and personal responsibility
- ensures students feel seen, heard and valued
As expectations increase in the senior years, students are supported to manage pressure, develop resilience and maintain wellbeing alongside their academic goals.
Leadership and service opportunities
Senior students are encouraged to step forward as leaders and role models within the College community, leading with integrity, compassion and confidence. A wide range of leadership opportunities allows students to contribute to College life and develop authentic leadership skills.
Opportunities include:
- student leadership and representative roles
